It is a drawing using colouring pencils and graphite.  This hand image takes up at least a third of the composition. Beyond is an ochre landscape with various dramas unfolding. A man running away from a giant female spider, a sleeping figure lying on the ground shown in perspective, a battle going on in the distance; knights in armour on horseback and far beyond a lake and a mountain range which transforms into an old man. There are some Archaeopteryx type bird creatures flying in a curved formation from the mountain near the ancient man. The sky is blue.

This work was commissioned by Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis for the label Charisma Records. We were near contemporaries from the Royal College of Art.
