View all Seed Pods
Landscape format watercolour showing a dark cloudy background with a spiral like form which has ochre coloured textures and details within the spiral layers. It seems to float in space.
From the artist
This is a painting much larger in scale than the pod specimen which is called a Medicago. It disperses mostly by catching onto animal hairs before being dropped. The obvious metaphor is that it so resembles a sea shell, which is why it attracted my attention.
