Two blank etching plates are printed together with dry point cut outs laid upon them. They are square in format. When printed like this there is an embossed edge from the plate. These are taken from Ernst Haeckel's work on sea cucumbers.  The image on the left is printed in lime green hue.  And the image on the right is printed in indigo blue.  Each of these images show five cone like forms protruding from a central point.  They suggest something more organic than the Thuroidea 1 images.  Thuroidea 1 and 2 are a set.

From the Artist

This set of images were printed in 2007 at the studio of Anna Villan which was called Bon à Tirer in Grenada Spain.  Under her guidance I studied the main basic etching techniques, in particular acid etching and dry point.
