Portrait format one off screen printed panel. It is composed of a mirror pattern with the bottom and top halves opposed.

Inspiration for the design is taken from insect forms, but the piece resembles more mechanical shapes.

The colour is of bold light printed matt shapes on a dark background (Black satin acetate furnishing fabric). There are eight small circular forms which lie in the middle of these large printed shapes, they were made from injection moulded plastic.

Final year work at the Royal College of Art.

I was beginning to look at the correspondence of insects to man made forms.  I have explored this idea further in recent years with my mezzotints through the work of Ernst Haeckel.
